After reading a cool blog from Bay Area musician Brent Shinn I wanted to add to it. Before you check out my vlog check out what Brent said at www.brentshinn.com
I together with my frdeins were actually checking the excellent ideas located on the website and then quickly developed an awful feeling I had not expressed respect to the web site owner for them. These young boys became certainly stimulated to learn them and have honestly been loving those things. Thanks for actually being indeed considerate as well as for deciding upon variety of cool subjects most people are really eager to discover. My sincere regret for not saying thanks to sooner.
You have some good points. All I know is my side of the story. Thanks for the response Johnny.
Nice post, Mike. I've never understood why so many guitar players get agro and possessive about the axe and how to play it, but it's a common attitude any musician is bound to run into eventually. Part of it probably comes from the generally unstable traditions of the music business when taken as a whole - all the fear, pain, poverty and lack of supportive structures and institutions. Part of it is buying into a society that only values winners. Part of it is just people being stupid or brainwashed - or both - and emulating the assholes that came before them. Who knows? It all adds up to a certain craziness I suppose. Like everybody else, musicians just have to deal with so much nonsense as part of the day's adventure.
